Resveratrol Helps Humans Who Have Suffered a Heart Attack!

Researchers have again demonstrated that resveratrol can be very healthy for humans. Specifically, Hungarian researchers in a placebo controlled, double blind study, gave 20 patients who had suffered a myocardial infarction (i.e. heart attack) one 10 mg. resveratrol pill per day for three months. Another control group of 20 people, who also had suffered a heart attack, were given a placebo for three months.
For their part, the patients receiving the resveratrol showed “significantly” improved left ventricle function, “significantly” lower LDL cholesterol, and “significantly” improved endothelial function. The control group did not.
Editor’s Note: This study again demonstrates that low doses of resveratrol – those achievable in a single supplement per day – can significantly improve the health of humans – especially those with heart problems and/or with pre-diabetes.   For its part, heart disease kills nearly 18 million Americans per year. Moreover, about 290 million people worldwide have type two diabetes.   And according to the American Diabetes Association, “Diabetes causes more deaths a year than breast cancer and AIDS combined.  Two out of three people with diabetes die from heart disease or stroke." In sum, there is definitely a BIG need for resveratrol.
